Ahlul Bayt News Agency (ABNA.ir), Qatar’s “Al-Nabha Al-Seqar” Charity Association presented Belgian Muslims with 500 copies of Quran with the intention of promoting the culture of Quran memorization and recitation among them.
According to Al-Sharq Newspaper, Nabil Al-Moavi, head of Al-Nabha Al-Seqar Charity Association said, “The distribution of these Quran copies has been in line with our efforts for promoting Quran recitation and training the Belgian youth based on Quranic teachings.”
“The copies have been partly distributed so far and the rest will be presented during the cultural seminars or annual events attended by Belgian Muslims,” he added.
“Qatar annually publishes a great number of Quran copies and sends them to over 20 countries in the world,” he went on to say, adding that only last year, 80 thousand copies of the Quran were sent to various countries.
“The copies are often given to Quran memorization centers, educational centers, Quran memorization schools and mosques, and also distributed among the Muslim minorities.”
